I bake pizza every Monday. My oven runs at around 500 °C. A pizza takes about 90 seconds.
I often prepare the next pizza while one is in the oven. Then I lose track of time. A few seconds can make a big difference.
So I built Kaspers Pizza Timer.
It counts up
Most timers count down. This one counts up.
Pizza does not always take the same amount of time. The oven temperature changes. The dough and toppings change too.
Counting up shows the real bake time. If a pizza needs five more seconds, the timer keeps going. This makes it easier to learn what works in my oven.
Two clear cues
The Soon Cue turns the screen yellow. It tells me to stop preparing the next pizza and get ready by the oven.
The Finish Cue turns the screen red. It tells me to check the pizza.
The default cues are set to 70 and 90 seconds. Both can be changed.
Simple on purpose
The app has one main screen. Start the timer. Stop it or restart it for the next pizza.
There are no accounts. No ads. No data collection.
It is simply the pizza timer I wanted for my own oven.
